This patient was unhappy with her upper teeth. She believed that the teeth were too short, the color was off, and she had an uneven bite. She also was not happy with her lower partial because of the fit and existing teeth had decayed. We did extractions and bone grafting on the lower jaw, then we used implant attached restorations to give her the smile she always wanted.

She decided to go through with the bite rebuilding phase by using a neuromuscular orthotic after learning about her bite issues. After two months of treatment, she felt significant relief in her facial tension and felt better overall bite situation. While using her orthotic, she also used a temporary sleep appliance to help her with sleep apnea. Julie came in complaining that she doesn’t like the look of her teeth, embarrassed to smile and wants better smile. Julie also stressed to us that she is on the budget and can’t afford a full mouth of porcelain restorations. Digital smile design was created and discussed with Julie. Decided to go ahead with six porcelain veneers to give Julie the smile she was looking for. Veneers were completed, a full beautiful smile was achieved and Julie was extremely happy with a final result. It is sometimes hard to achieve ultimate esthetics with six veneers but we were able to achieve it and make a patient super happy.
Sal came to office concerned about the appearance of his front teeth and his smile in general. Sal opened up to us that his smile holds him back and he is not happy about that. Patient stated that his whole life he wanted to improve his smile and finally he decided to make it happen. Sal went through proper examination and then a smile design where through a computer imaging we discussed his smile esthetics and decided on appropriate treatment of eight porcelain veneers. Upon examination we determined that Scott had a lot of broken down, old dentistry work, missing teeth and a collapsed bite, which prevented him from properly chewing food. A two phase treatment plan was created. In the first phase we rebuilt Scott’s bite and created more room for his smile by placing a orthotic on the lower arch of teeth. We then rebuilt Scott’s upper arch of worn down teeth with porcelain to strengthen them and placed implants to close the gaps in his smile. Phase one is complete and Scott cannot believe how much it changed his smile, stabilized and balanced his bite, and improved his confidence. Scott loves his new smile and can’t wait to start with his bottom arch of teeth.

J came in inquiring about improving her smile. She was not happy with the color and shape of her teeth. J also hated a black tooth that she had on the right side and was embarrassed to smile. She didn’t want to do orthodontics as her previous dentist told her would be necessary. Her initial consultation calmed her fears and helped her feel very comfortable with the treatment plan. She decided she wanted to do the smile makeover. We gave patient full upper porcelain crowns and a lower orthopedic appliance. In addition to her new beautiful smile, the patient enjoys relief from facial pain and headaches.
Anthony came in unhappy with open bite and his smile overall… Anthony had braces that didn’t fix the problem and he didn’t want to have braces again. Spoke to patient about cosmetic dentistry and instant orthodontics affect it can have. Anthony decided to have eight veneers done, top four and bottom four to fix his issue. Porcelain veneers were made and Anthony was extremely happy with a result. He wants to save some money and have more veneers made to continue his transformation.
Joan came to office stating that her gums are receding, her bite is changing and that she gets a lot of headaches. A thorough examination was performed where we determined that Joan had a collapsed bite causing trauma to her teeth, gum recessions and subsequently causing muscle spasms that resulted in headaches. We discussed a treatment plan and decided to reestablish a proper bite foundation first and then perform a smile makeover with porcelain crowns and veneers to secure the new physiologically stable bite position. Joan underwent gum lift surgery, her bite was rebuilt with a neuromuscular orthotic and a smile makeover was completed with beautiful porcelain restorations. We were able to perform a non-surgical face lift through conservative dental restorations. Patient had fractured and mismatched restorations on his upper front teeth. This meant that they didn’t look as attractive as he wished. We placed six porcelain crowns to restore the appearance of his upper teeth and give him more durable restorations. He loves the way his teeth look now.
Patient came in to office looking to improve his smile and improve the crossbite that he had on the front part of his mouth. A comprehensive examination was performed and plan was discussed to clean up some residual infections and restore top teeth with porcelain coverings and at the same time do a quick Invisalign clear braces on the bottom to close the gaps and improve the overbite. Top teeth were cleaned up and restored with porcelain while Invisalign was completed. Bite was improved and patient absolutely loves his new smile. What a boost of confidence…
Joan came to us in desperation. Joan told us that her teeth are failing and she is tired of her removable denture. She wants to have a beautiful smile. Went over different options with Joan and decided to restore her smile with dental implants and teeth that will attach to those implants. Treatment went through different phases but at no time patient was left with no teeth to function. Finally when we were done Joan couldn’t believe her eyes. Patient came to River Edge Dental looking to improve her smile. Patient stated that she wanted to brighten her teeth. An examination was performed and patient’s concerns were discussed. Through conversation patient recognized that she had a bite/space issue and in order for cosmetic work to last space needed to be created through a bite rebuilding phase. Laser gum lift was performed before veneers were fabricated. We worked with temporary restorations to customize a new smile to fit the patient’s face. When permanent veneers were inserted, M couldn’t believe what a change it made to her smile and her face. M was thrilled with the results and can’t stop posing for pictures.
