The Zabriskie family remained loyal to the British and fled their home here in River Edge to Manhattan. The home was donated to Major General Baron Von Steuben as a reward. In 1928, the state of New Jersey purchased the home to maintain as a historic site.

See the Bridge that prevented the British from winning the Revolutionary War. The historic bridge gives you a look at life during the colonial days and allows you to walk the same path as brave soldiers during desperate hours when America was only a dream that felt unobtainable.
