How Do Invisible Braces Work?

Traditional braces use metal brackets and wiring to align your teeth. Invisible braces, however, use pressure in other ways. Instead of brackets, this method uses a series of clear plastic retainers to help align your smile and straighten your teeth.

First, you’ll schedule an appointment with Dr. Martirossian to decide whether Invisalign or ClearCorrect is right for you. If you decide that invisible braces could help your smile, the next step is to take an x-ray in order to map out your smile movement.  Then, we will design a set of aligners for you so you can start treatment immediately. During your treatment, you’ll change out your retainers every 2 weeks, or as prescribed. Every time you change your retainer, your smile adjusts a small amount, leaving you with a beautiful final product.

One of the amazing parts about invisible braces is that you spend less time in the dental chair and more time living your life. This is because when you use Invisalign or ClearCorrect, all of your retainers go home with you. Instead of coming into the dental office frequently, you can increase your treatment at home.

The Benefits of Invisalign and ClearCorrect

Research shows that both Invisalign and ClearCorrect show significant improvements to patients’ smiles. In fact, dental technicians study thousands of smiles to make sure this technology works efficiently. With proven results, we can assure you that you’ll have a straight and beautiful smile by the time you take out your last retainer.

One of the biggest benefits that our patients report is the aesthetics of clear braces. When you use Invisalign or ClearCorrect, you don’t have to hide your “brace-face.” Instead, you can show off your teeth while you’re correcting them. The Invisalign and ClearCorrect retainers are completely transparent. That means that they won’t show up while you’re at brunch with friends, or in the photos afterward. Nobody will notice any difference in your smile.

Since this treatment uses retainers, they are removable. In other words, our patients enjoy taking out their retainers to eat and drink. With other types of braces, food easily becomes lodged between your brackets. Since you can remove your retainers, you don’t have to worry about sticky or chewy foods.
